Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
The short version
- Zeppo helps you follow up on quotes you’ve sent. Nothing is sent to a customer until you click Send.
- Your quotes, your customers’ data and your emails belong to you. You’re responsible for what you send and for having the right to contact your customers.
- AI drafts can be wrong. Read every draft before you send it.
- Zeppo is a tool, not a guarantee. We aren’t responsible for deals you win or lose, or for losses if the service doesn’t work as expected, and our liability is limited.
- Your first 3 quotes are free. After that, Starter is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- We handle your customers’ data only to provide the service, under the data processing agreement at the end of these terms.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of Zeppo, including the website at zeppo.app and the Zeppo app (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Zeppo, based in Norway (“Zeppo”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Zeppo on behalf of a business, you confirm that you’re authorised to accept these Terms for it, and “you” means that business.
Zeppo is a tool for businesses. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for your trade, business or profession.
2. The Service
Zeppo lets you add quotes you’ve sent to your customers, uses AI to analyse them and draft follow-up emails, and lets you review, edit and send those follow-ups and keep track of each quote.
Nothing is ever sent to your customers automatically. A follow-up is only sent when you click Send. We also email you reminders about quotes that need your attention; you can turn these off in Settings.
Zeppo is a young product and we’re improving it all the time. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something significant from a plan you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance.
3. Your account
- Keep your login details safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep your business details, including your reply-to email address, up to date.
- Tell us straight away at support@zeppo.app if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
4. Your content
“Your Content” means everything you add to the Service: quotes and quote files, customer names and email addresses, your business details, and the follow-ups you edit and send.
- You own Your Content. We don’t claim any rights to it, and that includes the drafts the AI writes for you, which you’re free to use as you like.
- You let us store, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you. This includes sending quote content to our AI provider to produce analyses and drafts, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
- You confirm that you have the right to add Your Content to the Service and use it there.
- We don’t sell Your Content, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
Your Content usually includes personal data about your customers. For that data, you are the controller and we are your processor, and the data processing agreement below applies.
5. Sending follow-ups
When you send a follow-up, Zeppo delivers it from a Zeppo email address under the sender name you choose, with your reply-to address set so that your customer’s reply goes straight to you.
You’re responsible for every email you send through Zeppo. In particular, you agree to:
- only send follow-ups to people you’ve actually given a quote, about that quote;
- follow the laws that apply to your emails, including rules on marketing, privacy and spam in your country and your customer’s;
- stop following up with anyone who asks you to stop;
- not use Zeppo for cold outreach, newsletters or other bulk or unsolicited email.
We may pause sending from your account if its emails cause spam complaints, many bounces or other harm to our ability to deliver email for everyone. We work hard to deliver every email, but we can’t guarantee that a given email reaches the inbox, because that also depends on the recipient’s email provider.
6. AI-generated content
Zeppo uses AI to analyse quotes and write drafts. AI can make mistakes: it can misread a quote, get a detail wrong or suggest wording you wouldn’t use. We’ve built in safeguards against drafts inventing things like discounts, guarantees or deadlines, but no safeguard is perfect.
Always check an analysis and read a draft before you rely on it or send it. You decide what gets sent, and you’re responsible for it. We can’t promise that follow-ups will lead to replies or won work.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use;
- try to access other users’ data, test or get around our security, or disrupt the Service;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, except as the law expressly allows;
- access the Service with bots or scripts, other than through features we provide;
- use the Service to harass anyone or to send spam.
8. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Free. Your first 3 quotes are free, with every feature included. The sample quote doesn’t count. Follow-ups sent on the free plan end with a short “Sent with Zeppo” line and a link to Zeppo, which you can see before you send. Paid plans send your email without it.
- Starter. To add more quotes, you need a Starter subscription. It costs $39 per month, or 399 kr per month for businesses in Norway, and includes 40 quotes per calendar month. If you go over, we won’t stop you; if it happens regularly, we may get in touch to find a plan that fits.
- Payment. Subscriptions are paid monthly in advance through PayPal and renew automatically until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise these recurring payments. PayPal’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
- Taxes. Prices are shown on our website and at checkout. If we’re required to charge VAT or other taxes, this is shown before you pay.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time under Billing. Your subscription then stops renewing, and you keep paid access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- Refunds. Payments aren’t refundable, including for part of a month, except where these Terms say otherwise or the law requires it.
- Price changes. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, so you can cancel first if you want to.
- Failed payments. If a payment can’t be collected, we may pause your paid access until it’s sorted out.
9. Inviting other businesses
You can invite other businesses to Zeppo with your personal invite link, found on the Invite page. The offer is “give a week, get a week”:
- The business you invite gets its first week of Starter free, if it signs up through your link and has never had a Zeppo subscription. Billing starts one week after it subscribes, and it pays nothing if it cancels before then.
- You get one free week for each invited business that buys Starter and makes its first payment, for up to three businesses. You can share your link with as many businesses as you like, but only the first three that buy earn you a week. If you already pay for Starter, we refund one week’s share of your payment to your PayPal account. If you haven’t subscribed yet, the free weeks are added to the start of your subscription when you do.
- Invites are for real, separate businesses. Inviting yourself, your own other accounts or made-up businesses doesn’t count, and you may not send your link as spam or in paid ads that use the Zeppo name.
- Free weeks have no cash value and can’t be exchanged or transferred. If we see abuse, we may cancel the rewards involved. We may change or end the invite offer at any time; rewards already earned are kept.
10. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. Your Content is not part of this. While your account is open, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in line with these Terms.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11. Availability, support and changes
Zeppo is a young product that we develop continuously. We work to keep it available, secure and working well, but we don’t promise that it will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, fast or free of errors, and we don’t offer any uptime guarantee or service level agreement.
- We may need to take the Service offline for maintenance, updates or security reasons, sometimes without notice.
- We may add, change or remove features, including how the AI writes and how follow-ups are scheduled. If we remove something significant from a plan you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance.
- Support is by email at support@zeppo.app. We reply as quickly as we reasonably can, but we don’t promise any particular response time.
12. Services we rely on
Zeppo depends on other companies to work, including providers of hosting, databases, AI, email delivery, sign-in (Google) and payments (PayPal). These services are outside our control. If one of them is unavailable, slow, changes how it works or makes a mistake, parts of Zeppo may stop working or behave differently, for example emails may be delayed or not delivered, the AI may be unavailable, or payments may fail.
We choose these providers carefully, but we are not responsible for their failures or for losses they cause, except where the law says otherwise. Your use of PayPal and Google is also covered by their own terms.
13. Your business stays your responsibility
Zeppo is a tool that helps you follow up on your quotes. It does not run your business, and we are not part of the relationship between you and your customers. In particular:
- You decide which quotes to follow up, what each email says, who receives it and when it is sent. Every email is sent by you, on your behalf.
- Your quotes, prices, contracts and agreements with your customers are between you and them. We are not responsible for their content, for whether a customer replies, accepts, declines or cancels, or for any disagreement between you and a customer.
- Suggested follow-up dates, reminders, statuses and analyses are aids, not guarantees. If a quote matters to your business, keep track of it yourself as well. We are not responsible if a reminder isn’t sent, arrives late or is missed, or if a status or date in Zeppo is wrong.
- Zeppo is not an archive or accounting system. Keep your own copies of your quotes, contracts and important emails. We take reasonable care of your data and keep backups, but we can’t guarantee that data will never be lost or corrupted.
- Nothing in Zeppo, including anything the AI writes, is legal, financial, tax or other professional advice.
14. Closing your account
- You can stop using Zeppo at any time. To delete your account and its data, email us at support@zeppo.app from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete it as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask for a copy of your data first.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use puts us or others at legal risk or harm, or if the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
- If we ever decide to shut Zeppo down, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance and refund anything you’ve paid for the time after it closes.
Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your account closes, such as those on ownership, responsibility, liability and disputes, continue to apply.
15. No warranties
You use Zeppo at your own risk. Apart from what these Terms expressly promise, the Service and everything in it, including AI analyses and drafts, is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no other promises, warranties or conditions, whether express or implied, including that:
- the Service will meet your needs or suit a particular purpose;
- the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, bugs or viruses;
- analyses, drafts, translations, dates or other output will be accurate, complete, appropriate or in the right language or tone;
- emails will be delivered, delivered on time, reach the inbox rather than spam, or be read by the recipient;
- using Zeppo will lead to replies, won work, more revenue or any other result;
- errors will be corrected, or that data will be preserved without loss.
16. Limitation of liability
This section limits our responsibility to you. Please read it carefully. It applies to all claims, whatever the legal basis, including contract, negligence and other non-contractual liability, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Losses we are not liable for
We are not liable for:
- lost deals, contracts, jobs, customers or business opportunities, including work you didn’t win or a customer you didn’t follow up;
- lost profits, revenue, income, sales or expected savings;
- damage to your reputation or goodwill;
- lost, corrupted or wrongly sent data or emails;
- the cost of replacement services, or of time spent by you or your staff;
- any indirect, consequential or special loss.
Situations we are not liable for
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for loss caused by:
- mistakes in AI analyses or drafts, including wrong prices, dates, names, details, language or tone, where you sent or relied on them;
- emails that are delayed, not delivered, filtered as spam, sent to an address you entered wrongly, or sent by you in error;
- reminders or follow-up dates that are missed, late or wrong;
- the Service being unavailable, slow, changed or not working as expected, including bugs and errors;
- failures of the third-party services described above;
- someone using your account because your login details were shared, guessed or not kept safe, or because of a security problem on your devices;
- the content of your quotes and emails, and your dealings with your customers;
- events beyond our reasonable control, as described below.
Maximum amount
If we are liable to you despite the above, our total liability for all claims together in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or NOK 1,000 if that is more. If you use Zeppo for free, the limit is NOK 1,000.
What this section does not limit
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
17. Reporting problems and time limits
If something goes wrong, tell us at support@zeppo.app as soon as you can, so that we have a chance to fix it and to limit any harm. You must give us written notice of any claim within a reasonable time, and no later than three months after you discovered, or should have discovered, the problem. Claims notified later than that cannot be made, unless the law requires otherwise.
You must also take reasonable steps to limit your own loss, for example by following up a quote yourself.
18. Claims from others
If anyone else, such as one of your customers or a public authority, makes a claim against us because of Your Content, an email you sent through Zeppo, how you use the Service or your breach of these Terms or the law, you will compensate us for our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable legal costs. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in handling it.
19. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages or failures at our providers or in the internet or power supply, cyberattacks, natural events, epidemics, strikes, war, or actions of authorities. While such an event lasts, our obligations are suspended.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Zeppo develops. If we make a material change, we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then. Smaller changes, such as clarifications, and changes the law requires may apply sooner. The date at the top shows when these Terms last changed.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first; most problems can be solved by email. Disputes we can’t resolve together go to the Norwegian courts, with the district court where we are based as the agreed venue.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory law.
22. General
- These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over Zeppo; we’ll let you know if that happens. You may not transfer your account without our agreement.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
23. Contact
24. Data processing agreement
This section is the data processing agreement between you, as controller, and us, as processor, required by Article 28 of the GDPR as it applies in Norway and the rest of the EEA, and by the UK GDPR where that applies. It is part of these Terms and applies whenever we process personal data on your behalf.
Details of the processing
- Purpose: providing the Service to you: storing your quotes, analysing them with AI, drafting, sending and tracking follow-ups, and sending you reminders.
- Duration: for as long as you use the Service, and afterwards until the data is deleted as described below.
- Data subjects: your customers and potential customers, their contact people, and anyone else named in the quotes and emails you add.
- Personal data: names, email addresses and any other personal data in your quotes and follow-ups, such as addresses, phone numbers and details of the job. Don’t include special categories of personal data, such as health information, or national identity numbers unless it’s truly necessary.
- Processing: storage, retrieval, analysis with AI, drafting, sending emails and deletion.
Our commitments
- Instructions. We process the data only on your documented instructions. These Terms and your use of the Service’s features are your instructions. If the law requires us to process it in another way, we’ll tell you first unless the law forbids that. We’ll let you know if we believe an instruction breaks data protection law.
- Confidentiality. Everyone who processes the data on our behalf is bound by confidentiality.
- Security. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures under Article 32 of the GDPR, including encryption in transit and at rest, database-level isolation so that each business can only access its own data, private file storage and restricted access to production systems. See our Privacy Policy for more.
- Sub-processors. You authorise us to use the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We’ll tell you at least 14 days before adding or replacing one. If you object on reasonable data protection grounds and we can’t resolve it, you may end your subscription and we’ll refund what you’ve paid for the remaining period. Our sub-processors are bound by data protection obligations equivalent to these, and we remain responsible for them.
- Transfers. Where a sub-processor processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Assistance. As far as is reasonable given the nature of the processing, we’ll help you respond to requests from data subjects and meet your obligations on security, breach notification, data protection impact assessments and prior consultation. You can already correct or delete a quote, and everything linked to it, in the app at any time.
- Breaches. We’ll notify you without undue delay, and where possible within 48 hours, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, with the information you need to meet your own obligations.
- Deletion. When your account is closed, we delete the personal data we process for you within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it. Copies in backups disappear as the backups are replaced. Before your account is closed, you can ask for a copy.
- Audits. We’ll make available the information needed to show that we meet this agreement, and allow reasonable audits by you or an independent auditor you appoint, with reasonable notice, at your cost, and no more than once a year unless a supervisory authority requires it or a breach has occurred.
Your commitments
You’re responsible for having a lawful basis to process your customers’ data and to contact them, and for giving them any information the law requires.
