Cookie Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
The short version
- We only use cookies that keep you signed in, remember the language you choose, or remember an invite link you opened.
- We don’t use advertising, tracking or social media cookies.
- Our website statistics work without cookies, which is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
- PayPal and Google may set their own cookies when you use them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads, such as the fact that you are signed in. Similar technologies, like local storage, are covered by this policy too.
2. Cookies we use
Zeppo only uses cookies that are needed for the service you ask for: keeping you signed in, remembering a language you chose, and remembering an invite link you opened. Without the sign-in cookies you cannot sign in or use the app.
| Cookie | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-vspdwvwqeudvmbuhasda-auth-token | Keeps you signed in, so the app knows which account and business you are. May be split into several cookies ending in .0, .1 and so on. | Until you log out, at most 400 days |
| sb-vspdwvwqeudvmbuhasda-auth-token-code-verifier | Protects sign-in with Google, email confirmation and password reset against tampering. | A few minutes, while you sign in |
| lang | Remembers the language you chose for our website (English or Norwegian). Only set when you switch language yourself. | 1 year |
| ref | Remembers the invite link you opened, so you get the free first week the invite offers. Only set when you open an invite link, and deleted once your account is set up. | 30 days, or until you sign up |
These cookies are set by Zeppo through our sign-in provider, Supabase, and are only sent to Zeppo. They are not used to track you across other websites.
3. Website statistics without cookies
We count visits to our website with Vercel Web Analytics. It works without cookies and without storing anything in your browser, and it doesn’t identify you or follow you to other websites. We only see aggregated numbers, such as how many people visited a page and which country they came from.
4. Cookies set by other services
Some services you choose to use set their own cookies, under their own policies:
- PayPal, when you open the payment window to subscribe. PayPal uses cookies for security, fraud prevention and to process your payment.
- Google, on Google’s own pages, if you choose to sign in with Google.
We don’t control these cookies. See PayPal’s and Google’s own privacy and cookie policies for details.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
Norwegian and EU law require consent for cookies that aren’t needed to provide the service you ask for, such as advertising and tracking cookies. Cookies that are strictly necessary, like those that keep you signed in, are exempt, and so are cookies that only remember a choice you made yourself, such as your language or an invite you opened to get its offer. These cookies are never used to follow you around the web. Because Zeppo only uses cookies like these, we don’t ask for consent with a banner. If we ever start using other cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this policy.
6. How to control cookies
You can see and delete cookies, or block them, in your browser’s settings. If you block or delete Zeppo’s cookies, you’ll be logged out and won’t be able to sign in until you allow them again. The public pages of our website work without cookies.
7. More about your data
This policy covers cookies only. To learn what personal data we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies? Email support@zeppo.app.
